This six-hour event, split across two days, followed by a networking session, is an empowering journey where you will be learning about producing, arranging, mixing, and more, in a digestible format.

DAY 1 - The Foundations
14th October - 6pm to 9pm NY
A practical 3 hour workshop covering the building blocks of producing a track, with time for teaching and completing exercises during the session. The topics covered will include:
Getting started in Logic Pro
Making Your First Beat
Arranging Your Track
DAY 2 - The Next Level
21st October - 6pm to 9pm NY
A lecture style 3 hour workshop, going deeper into the technical aspects of adding detail and layers, required to create a more polished sounding track. The topics covered will include:
Creating Detail with Ear Candy
The Basics of Mixing
Adding Colour with Vocal FX
Networking Session
23rd October - 6pm to 7pm NY
A one hour session, for those with the Full Access and VIP Tickets, dedicated to networking, so that you can build connections across borders with like-minded artists. This will include:

Isabelle Banos is a Montreal-based artist, producer, songwriter and a founding member of the alternative pop band Caveboy, as well as her own indie rock solo project Ballsy. She has performed across Canada, Japan, the UK, showcased throughout the U.S., and participated in major music conferences all over the world. Her music has appeared in TV shows, films and ads (Grey’s Anatomy, Happiest Season, Madame Web, Rakuten).
In addition to being MPW's Educational Co-ordinator, Isabelle is an educator on LANDR's YouTube channel, an EarthPercent artist, and a regular volunteer for the Montreal chapter of Rock Camp for Girls.

Who is this event for?
This event has been designed for anyone who would love to have the skills to be able to produce their own music. It is perfect for anyone who in early in their learning journey.
What will I gain from attending this event?
Whether you're looking to produce music independently or simply want to improve your current production knowledge, by attending this event you will gain new knowledge on the basics of production, song arrangement, mixing, vocal production and more, presented by an expert in these topics.
What previous skills do I need to attend?
You don't need any previous production or technical skills to attend! All the workshops on Day 1 will be completely beginner friendly with time for you to try some exercises yourself. Day 2 will be more intermediate friendly but good for beginners to follow along to.
Can I attend with a friend?
Definitely! However please do make sure you both get a ticket as we have limited capacity on the call.
Why are some tickets free?
At MPW we are committed to providing accessible resources to give female artists a leg up in the music production and technology space and thanks to our generous event partners, we are able to run this info-packed day with a no-cost option for our attendees.
Will I be pressured to buy a paid program?
Absolutely not! At the core of what we do at MPW is a one year program that currently has a waitlist. We will introduce this program to you during the event in case you would like to work with us more closely and develop the skills that you've learnt during the event, however if you feel you've got the inspiration that you need from the day, then that is perfectly fine and we'll be happy to have gotten to spend the event with you!
How should I prepare for the event?
The best way to prepare for the event is to join a few minutes early to make sure you don't miss out on any important info. Please ensure that you have access to a laptop on either of Garageband (free) or Logic Pro available on your computer for Day 1, to follow along with the exercises.
