Xylo Aria
Xylo Aria is a music producer, artist, and the award-winning founder of Music Production for Women. She built MPW after reflecting on her own experiences as a female artist - determined to create the platform she wished had existed for her when she started.
Since 2019, MPW has delivered workshops to over 10,000 students across 120 countries, partnered with Ableton, Focusrite, and Abbey Road Studios, and built a global community of 30,000+ creators. Who is this class for?
This class is designed for anyone who would love to build the skills to produce their own music. It's perfect if you're early in your journey and want a clear, supportive place to start - no prior experience required.
What software do I need?
For this class, all you need is a computer and an internet connection. We'll be demonstrating in Ableton Live, but you can follow along in Logic Pro too. If you don't have production software yet, you can download a free trial of Ableton Live to follow along.
Is the class really free?
Yes, completely. Providing accessible entry points into music production is central to what MPW does. This class is 100% free to attend.
What time is 8pm London in my timezone?
The class runs 8pm–9pm BST (British Summer Time, UTC+1) on 10 August 2026. That's 3pm New York (EDT), 12pm Los Angeles (PDT), and 5am Sydney the following day (AEST). We recommend using a time zone converter to confirm the time in your location.
Is this class for women only?
MPW was created to empower more women in music production and help address the gender imbalance in the industry. That said, we welcome anyone who wants to learn with us in a warm, encouraging, and supportive environment.
Will I be pressured to buy a paid program?
Absolutely not. The class is genuinely free and genuinely useful on its own. We will mention our longer programs in case you want to go deeper, but there is no pressure whatsoever. If the class gives you everything you need to get started, that is a win for us too.
How should I prepare?
Just join a few minutes early to make sure your audio and video are working. We recommend joining on a laptop or desktop so you can see the software demonstration clearly. No other preparation is needed - just bring your curiosity.
Can I attend with a friend?
Absolutely - the more the merrier! Please make sure you both register separately so you each receive the Zoom link and class confirmation.
