Xylo Aria
Xylo Aria is an artist, producer and the CEO & Founder of Music Production for Women (MPW). Through MPW, she is determined to break down barriers women face when approaching music tech by creating a supportive and safe learning space.
Since launch in 2019, MPW has taught in excess of 8000 women from over 120 countries, partnered with global brands and earned Xylo a Top 50 East London Innovator of 2020 award, a finalist place in the 2022 & 2023 Australian Business xCellence Awards and a place on the SheSaidSo top 100 Alt Power list.
In addition to her work with MPW, Xylo is also a Director and Treasurer for the Music Producers and Engineers’ Guild of Australia.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who is this course for?
Track Builder has been designed for anyone who would love to have the skills to be able to produce their own music. It is perfect for anyone who is early in their learning journey as there is no previously assumed knowledge for this course.
What will I gain from attending this course?
You will be learning the full process of producing a song on Ableton from the very basics including how to program drums, using synths, MIDI, and audio effects and more.
What previous skills do I need to join the course?
You don't need any previous production or technical skills to attend! We will start the course with the very basics of music production and software navigation which will allow you to learn as you go through the videos and masterclasses.
Are there any live components on the course?
There will be a live masterclass at the start and at the end of the program, as well as access to weekly live, one-hour Q&A sessions. You will also get a one-to-one feedback session at the end of the course, where your mentor will give you points to work on for your track and help guide you through the next steps.
What is the structure of this course over the 7 weeks?
The course will start with a live Masterclass to kick off, and then you will receive a module of the Intro to Music Production course to complete every week, along with a homework exercise. Each homework exercise will build on the previous week's content. You will have access to weekly live Q&A to go through any questions as they are coming up. At the end of the program, you will receive another live Masterclass, after which, you can book in your one-to-one mentoring session to get feedback on the track you have created during the course.
I'm not a woman, can I still attend?
MPW was started to empower more women to produce music. In saying that everyone who would like to learn to produce in a warm and encouraging environment is more than welcome to learn with us, so yes! You're more than welcome!
What equipment do I need for the course?
The only equipment you need for this program is a laptop. Other than that, this course will be run on Ableton Live, so you will need a copy of Ableton Live Suite (ideally) for the program. All students will receive a special 40% discount on Ableton Live if you would like to purchase it once you join the program. You can also use the trial version of Ableton Live to start with which will last for 30 days.
Can I join the course from anywhere?
The course is completely online, so you're welcome to join from anywhere in the world. The live masterclasses will be at 8pm GMT London time and the weekly live Q&A will be at 6pm GMT London time. The masterclasses will be recorded in case you can't make them live. If you are unable to make the Q&A sessions, you can always reach out to us via email and we can support you through this channel instead.
