Think about your creative journey so far. You have songs in your head. You have the voice, the melody, and the songwriting instincts. You’ve probably watched hours of tutorials, downloaded sample packs, and tried to piece everything together on your own.
But somewhere along the way, the technology got in the way of the art.
If you’ve been stuck in the endless cycle of starting a track, getting overwhelmed by the software, and leaving another project unfinished, it doesn’t mean you’re not talented. It just means you’ve been trying to navigate the music production maze without a map.
Let's clear the clutter together. You can do this!
SoundLab is designed to give you a clear, structured blueprint for creating and mixing your tracks with confidence.
1
We Prioritise Doing over Endless Theory
Don't worry, we won't bore you with hours of textbook engineering terms! We will show you the exact knobs to turn and the choices to make so you can put what you learn into action immediately.
2
Built for Busy Creative Lives
This event is structured across two different focused sessions, allowing you to learn, digest, and implement the techniques without having to pause your career, study, or family commitments.
3
Designed to Reduce Technical Intimidation
Music technology can feel unnecessarily complicated but it doesn't have to be! We speak in plain, accessible language, creating an encouraging space where beginner producers can feel supported in their learning.
You're a songwriter or vocalist wanting autonomy
You are tired of waiting for other producers to bring your songs to life. You want to learn to produce your own ideas so you can confidently say, "I made this."
You struggle with unfinished tracks
Your hard drive is full of eight-bar loops and unfinished melodies. You need a structured, step-by-step workflow to help you take projects across the finish line.
You want clarity on how to approach mixing
You enjoy the writing process, but as soon as you try to mix your instruments together, everything starts to sound cluttered, quiet, or amateur.
You want an encouraging, supportive community
You're tired of technical gatekeeping and online forums where you don't feel welcome. You want to learn with other driven, gender-diverse creators who cheer you on.
If that sounds like you, let's do this!

Who is this event for?
This event is designed for anyone who would love to build the skills to produce their own music. It’s perfect if you’re early in your learning journey and want a clear, supportive place to start.
What will I gain from attending this event?
Whether you're looking to produce music independently or simply want to improve your current production knowledge, by attending this event, you will gain new knowledge on the basics of production, song arrangement, mixing, and more, presented by an expert in these topics.
What previous skills do I need to attend?
You don't need any prior production or technical skills to attend! All the workshops on Day 1 will be completely beginner-friendly. Day 2 will be more intermediate-friendly, but it's still good for beginners to understand how the overall process works.

Definitely! However, please do make sure you both get a ticket, as we have limited capacity on the Zoom event.
Why are some tickets free?
At MPW, we are committed to providing accessible resources to give female artists a leg up in the music production and technology space. Thanks to our generous event partners, we are able to run this info-packed day with a no-cost option for our attendees.
Will I be pressured to buy a paid program?
Absolutely not! At the core of what we do at MPW is a one-year program that currently has a waitlist. We'll introduce this program to you during the event in case you'd like to work with us more closely and develop the skills that you've learnt during the event. However, if you feel you've got the inspiration that you need from the day, then that is perfectly fine and we'll be glad to have spent the event with you!
How should I prepare for the event?
The best way to prepare for the event is to join a few minutes early to make sure you don't miss out on any important info. Please ensure that you are joining on a laptop so that you're able to see the details of the program on your screen.
