This event is a uniquely heart-warming experience where you will spend a day learning from the best in the music industry, while also making new friends in an extremely warm, supportive and inclusive environment. The day will consist of multiple workshops on topics such as intro to music production, mixing, music marketing, vocal production and more. 

Each of the sessions will be practical and beginner-friendly so even if you don't have any production knowledge and you find it intimidating, please come! 

Being an independent artist can sometimes feel like a very lonely journey and opportunities to create lasting networks and friendships in the industry can seem hard to come by. For this reason, we have also incorporated a networking element to the day which you won't want to miss!

Do you want to build a global network of musicians to connect and work with but are not sure how to go about it?

During this event you will get an opportunity to meet and chat with other like-minded musicians from around the world. These networking sessions have been a loved part of our events and will allow you to connect and expand your network which is an essential part of succeeding in the music industry.

In a more connected world than ever, reaching out to other potential collaborators or peers in music has never been easier. Although this is true, it can sometimes feel daunting to do so out of the blue. 

In this unique, warm and welcoming space where our attendees are encouraged to connect, you will likely feel much more comfortable about talking to new people than through a cold DM or e-mail!

Meet Xylo Aria
Meet Xylo Aria
Your expert teacher for this one day Master Your Music event is none other than Xylo Aria, music producer and award winning founder of Music Production for women.

Xylo built MPW reflecting on her own experiences as a female artist. She was determined to create a platform to benefit other women taking their music career into their own hands, which she wished existed for her when she started.

Since starting MPW, Xylo has been named a Top 50 East London Innovator, been included on the SheSaidSo Alt 100 Power List and partnered with numerous global brands on projects and events including Distrokid, Focusrite, Ableton, Abbey Road Studios and many more. She also co-produced a mini-documentary on a woman's first steps into Music Production which has been featured un numerous publications across, Australia, Europe and the US.

Neenah

Neenah is a multi-platinum mixing engineer from Amsterdam, NL. Her voice and production has been linked to some of the biggest names in hip-hop music for over a decade. Neenah was also the first female producer to win the Battle of the Beatmakers in Toronto, CA. 
 

Ramera Abraham

Ramera is a London-based vocal producer, engineer, songwriter, and artist who has had the pleasure of working with artists like Adele, Jess Glynne, Anne-Marie, RAYE, Stormzy, Sam Fender, and most recently mix assisted Nick Cave's album, Carnage, and assisted Little Mix's sixth studio album, Confetti. 

Lillian Frances

Lillian Frances is a sonic collager hailing from Northern California. Some of her artistic highlights include opening for Sylvan Esso, playing festivals up and down California, and singing alongside Shakey Graves. She believes making music should be fun, easy, and empowering.

Natalia Milanesi

Natalia is a Grammy award winning audio engineer, music producer and arranger composer. She has many years of experience working across various studios such as Abbey Road Studios, RAK Studios & Tileyard Studios, amongst others. She has worked with many established artists and bands such as Sam Smith, Jaz Coleman, & Nile Rodgers and also works in education, at the University of Westminster.

Lillian Frances

AK Siegl

AK has been working in the music industry, especially public relations for the last 7 years and has worked with the likes of Kylie Minogue, Katie Melua, Cindy Blackman Santana, Waterparks, Bryan Ferry, Avril Lavigne, Daughtry, 808 State in the past. Before joining Youthquake Management as in-house PR and artist manager, she built the international department for Motion Agency in London.

Who is this event for?
This event has been designed for any artist who feels they are not getting the results they want for their music through working with other producers and are wanting to build the skills to produce for themselves. To build a lasting career in music, we also need to think about other skills such as business and marketing skills, so the day will also include specific workshops in these areas.
What will I gain from attending this day?
You will gain new knowledge on a number of topics including music production, mixing, vocal production, music business, marketing, mind-set and more through a series of practical workshops run by experts in each of these fields.
What previous skills do I need to attend?
You don't need any previous production or technical skills to attend! All the workshops on the day have been designed for beginners and people who are new to production,  mixing etc. so please do attend even if you currently feel a bit intimidated by these topics!
Can I attend with a friend?
Definitely! However please do make sure you both get a ticket as they are limited.
Why is the event free?
At MPW we are committed to providing accessible resources to give female artists a leg up in the music production and music technology space and thanks to our genereous event partners are able to run this, info packed, day for absolutely no cost to our attendees.
Will I be pressured to buy a paid program?
Absolutely not! At the core of what we do at MPW is a one year program that currently has a waitlist. We will introduce this program to you during the event in case you would like to work with us more closely and develop the skills that you've learnt during the day, however if you feel you've got the inspirating from the day that you need, then that is perfectly fine and we'll be happy to have gotten to spend the day with you!
What should I bring to the event?
The best way to prepare for the event is to be 10 minutes early as sometimes our Zoom reaches capacity during these events. Please don't feel the need to have a production software to follow along as our teachers will be going through this with everyone together, however please do bring something to take PLENTY of notes, whether this is a book or a laptop.

Our aim is to give female musicians the skills necessary to take on the music industry with confidence and to help and guide them through every step of the process through providing education, community support, visible role models and encouragement.

In the last 4 years MPW has delivered classes to thousands of students across numerous countries across the globe.

Although our aim is to improve gender diversity in music, our classes are open to everyone to attend.
