"MPW has been the best way to learn electronic music. The generosity of knowledge shared is invaluable. They take you through the skills in such an accessible, encouraging way."
MPW's CEO Xylo Aria built MPW after reflecting on her own experiences as a female artist. She was determined to create a platform she wished existed for her when she started, to benefit other women taking their music career into their own hands.
Since starting MPW, Xylo has been named a Top 50 East London Innovator, been included on the SheSaidSo Alt 100 Power List, named an IABCA Young Professional of the Year Finalist and partnered with numerous global brands on projects and events including Distrokid, Focusrite, Ableton, Abbey Road Studios and many more.
Xylo is passionate about communicating technical production concepts, in a clear, concise and easy-to-follow manner through her teaching.
Building your home studio set up can take time! So we're giving one lucky person at each event a kick start with a giveaway including a Novation Launchkey Mini, a Phaseplant Synth by Kilohearts and a Focusrite Solo Studio!
A values-driven platform focused on empowering women and gender minorities in music production

Received over 500 5-star reviews on Google for our courses and workshops
Worked with numerous global music brands such as Ableton, Novation, Focusrite and more
Been featured in more than 100 articles around the work for our work
MPW has over 500 Five-Star Google reviews describing its quality workshops, supportive community and heart-warming networking opportunities designed specifically to empower women and gender minorities in music production.
If you're tired of being one of the only women in the room when it comes to music production, we know how you feel and we've been there before. The most magical part of our events, in addition to all the exciting knowledge that you will take away is the phenomenal energy created when you fill a room with women who want to learn from and support each other. There really is nothing like it and we want you to experience it!
At our events, you will not feel like the odd person out, you will not be spoken down to, or get technical jargon thrown at you. You will be part of an encouraging community and treated with the kindness and respect you deserve. Although our events are designed to empower women, absolutely everyone is more than welcome to attend!
In a more connected world than ever, reaching out to other potential collaborators or peers in music has never been easier. Although this is true, it can sometimes feel daunting to do so out of the blue.
During this unique, warm, and welcoming event you will have the opportunity to connect and make friends with other like-minded musicians from your city!
"I'm so glad that these initiatives are being made keeping women in mind. I'm trying to learn production to understand the mechanics of production better and this gives me a kick start to my learning process. Thanks again for all the effort!"
"I keep returning to MPW, Xylo is clear, concise, and encouraging. You are shown quick routes to acheiving sound and options for exploration. I've been scared of music production for so long, MPW holds your hand. Can't recommend enough."
"Incredible experience! Lots of lovely like-minded people attending, and fantastic and knowledgable, professional advice and teaching. If you are a woman who is serious about learning production I 10/10 recommend!"
This event has been designed for any artist who feels like they are not getting the results they want for their music through working with other producers and are wanting to build the skills to produce for themselves and become more self-reliant artists.
Whether you're looking to produce music independently or simply want to improve your current production knowledge, by attending this event you will gain new knowledge on the basics of beat-making, synthesis and audio effects, presented by an expert in these topics.
You don't need any previous production or technical skills to attend! All the workshops on the day have been designed for beginners and people who are new to production so please do attend even if you currently feel a bit intimidated by these topics!
Definitely! However please do make sure you both get a ticket as we have limited capacity.
At MPW we are committed to providing accessible resources to give female artists a leg up in the music production and technology space and thanks to our generous event partners, we are able to run this info-packed day for an optional no-cost to our attendees.
Absolutely not! At the core of what we do at MPW is a one-year program that currently has a waitlist. We will introduce this program to you during the event in case you would like to work with us more closely and develop the skills that you've learnt during the day, however if you feel you've got the inspiration that you need from the day, then that is perfectly fine and we'll be happy to have gotten to spend the day with you!
The best way to prepare for the event is to be there on time or early to make sure you have time to settle yourself, find a spot and get ready! Please don't feel the need to have a production software to follow along as we'll be going through this with everyone together, but please do have something to take PLENTY of notes!
Definitely not, although our mission is to empower more women and gender minorities in music technology we encourage everyone who is interested in learning with us to join!
We will be running the sessions on Ableton Live but the content will be transferable to whichever production software you use.
