In a more connected world than ever, reaching out to other potential collaborators or peers in music has never been easier. Although this is true, it can sometimes feel daunting to do so out of the blue.
During the six hour workshop, you will have the opportunity to connect with other attendees from all over the world during break out rooms. Many collaborations have stemmed from these sessions!

"I'm so glad that these initiatives are being taken keeping women in mind. I'm trying to learn production to understand the mechanics of production better and this gives me a kick start to my learning process. Thanks again for all the effort!"

"I keep returning to MPW, Xylo is clear, concise, and encouraging. You are shown quick routes to acheiving sound and options for exploration. I've been scared of music production for so long, MPW holds your hand. Can't recommend enough."

This event has been designed for anyone who would love to have the skills to be able to produce their own music. It is perfect for anyone who is early in their learning journey.
Whether you're looking to produce music independently or simply want to improve your current production knowledge, by attending this event you will gain new knowledge on the basics of production, arrangement, songwriting, vocal production, production workflows and more.
You don't need any previous production or technical skills to attend! We will start the workshop with the very basics of music production and software navigation which will allow you to follow the sessions. Even if you can't follow, please don't panic! If it's you're a beginner, it's natural for not everything to make sense at first! With time however, it will get easier.
Definitely! However please do make sure you both get a ticket as we have limited capacity on the call.
At MPW we are committed to providing accessible resources to give female and non-binary artists a leg up in the music production and technology space and thanks to our generous event partners, we are able to run this info-packed day with a no-cost option for our attendees.
Absolutely not! At the core of what we do at MPW is a one year program that currently has a waitlist. We will introduce this program to you during the event in case you would like to work with us more closely and develop the skills that you've learnt during the event, however if you feel you've got the inspiration that you need from the day, then that is perfectly fine and we'll be happy to have gotten to spend the event with you!
MPW was started to empower more women to produce music. In saying that everyone who would like to learn to produce in a warm and encouraging environment is more than welcome to learn with us, so yes! Please attend!
Join a few minutes early to make sure you don't miss out on any important info! Please ensure that you are joining on your laptop and listen with a pair of headphones to get the best experience. You don't need access to a production software as we will be going through everything together on our screens. We don't recommend you try to do the exercises along with us during the event given the pace of the sessions, but rather that you take lots of notes to embed the information in your mind and practice after the session!
